Big Elma - love for community, all things local and homemade treats. (El)leke and Em(ma) have created this safe, beautiful and welcoming space. A place for vibrant and fresh food, generous portions and a place to connect. Located along the Merri Creek, it’s the perfect place to drop in after a walk along this gorgeous piece of nature. Our beautiful courtyard gets lit up by the warm winter sun and is perfectly dog friendly too.

There’s a lot of love and passion in our kitchen. We love filling our cabinet with homemade cakes, our infamous miso and dark chocolate cookies, focaccia sandwiches on Thursday and coffee - we love coffee. We use Symmetry Coffee beans, our favourite coffee roasters with purpose and soul. We use local suppliers and we make most things in house in our tiny beautiful kitchen. Big Elma is also home to the great potato toastie which we highly encourage you to come and try sometime. We’re open on Friday evenings too, we’ll pour you a glass of wine and serve you a great juicy burger. Nicholson street really is a vibe!
